Gaining Creative Insight: An Art Therapy Group for Marriage & Family Therapist Student Trainees & Interns
Invest in your own therapy to help you understand your clients better. Reduce the impact of secondary and vicarious trauma from your clients in this supportive art therapy group. Learn art therapy techniques that could be valuable in your education. Identify ways in which your client relationships impact your personal life. Hear from others who know what it's like. Use this group as the required therapy for graduation, or therapy hours toward your license. Remember one hour of therapy is 3 hours toward that BBS licensure!
Group meets one evening per week on Thursdays, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
10 session minimum commitment
Invest $50 per week, includes art materials.

Consultation groups are conducted at locations within the community. Topics for groups include, but are not limited to using art to:
Group members need not have previous experience of producing artwork. It is not the primary aim of the group to create skillful of aesthetically impressive works of art. The main function of the group is to help facilitate meaningful and lasting psychological change through the use of art as a means of communication and expression.
Groups can be tailored to meet the needs of at-risk individuals, as identified by the schools, counselors, medical professionals, and other referral sources.
